Sometimes we get so busy trying to "save" people that we forget to live. I think that's why Jesus made fun of the Pharisees so much.

The greatest pain we can experience in life is the loss of someone we love. It may be true to some extent that “time heals all wounds,” but in the meantime we’re still in unbearable pain. How do we handle the unspeakable pain of grief? Through 32 years of ministry, I’ve gone through such suffering with people, and I too have experienced that pain.
